Lakmé Fashion Week x FDCI 2025

Held at The Grand, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, the five-day Lakmé Fashion Week x FDCI 2025 was a spectacular celebration of fashion, creativity, and conscious craftsmanship. Organized by Lakmé in partnership with the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), the event brought together a stellar mix of over 60 designers, including both iconic names and promising newcomers, making it the season’s most-awaited style rendezvous.

The showcase reaffirmed the platform’s stature as India’s most influential fashion event, with a lineup that combined star-studded runway moments, next-gen talent discovery programs, and thoughtful industry workshops. With a strong focus on sustainability, diversity, and innovation, Lakmé Fashion Week x FDCI 2025 once again raised the bar – setting new standards in design, beauty, and cultural storytelling. From heritage crafts to future-facing textiles, from runway drama to beauty trends, the week celebrated everything that makes Indian fashion a global force.

The fashion week opened with a poignant and visually stunning presentation at The Kunj, an artisan-led showcase supported by DC Handicrafts, Ministry of Textiles. Designers such as Anavila, Akaaro, and The Edit by The Kunj took center stage, celebrating the essence of Indian craftsmanship. The show artfully wove together indigenous techniques with contemporary silhouettes, setting a thoughtful and inspiring tone for the week.

“The Kunj was envisioned as a space where traditional artistry meets contemporary design. This collaboration reflects the craft sector’s immense contribution to India’s cultural economy,” said Amrit Raj, DC Handicrafts.

The runway also featured standout presentations from Rahul Mishra, Mahima Mahajan, Shantnu & Nikhil, Nikita Mhaisalkar, Suneet Varma, Samant Chauhan, Kritika M, Richa Khemka, Arjan Dugal, and Siddhartha Bansal, each contributing to a diverse, inclusive, and forward-thinking fashion narrative.
