Hosted at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai from March 26 to 30, 2025, the event showcased a shift towards sensibility over spectacle, placing emphasis on heritage, sustainability, craftsmanship, and everyday luxury.

The five-day fashion showcase featured a star-studded lineup of leading and emerging designers, talent discovery programs, and workshops, reinforcing its commitment to inclusivity, diversity, and eco-conscious design practices. The platform maintained its reputation as India’s largest and most influential fashion event, continuing to set industry benchmarks in fashion, beauty, and innovation.

Designers presented collections that explored new textures, forms, and colour palettes, challenging the boundaries of traditional Indian fashion. The event opened with Anamika Khanna’s signature label AK|OK and included collections by notable names such as Amit Aggarwal, Falguni Shane Peacock, Tarun Tahiliani, Shivan and Narresh, Shantnu & Nikhil, Rahul Mishra, and Manish Malhotra etc.

Audiences experienced a seamless blend of luxury, sustainability, and cutting-edge design, reaffirming Lakmé Fashion Week x FDCI’s role as a dynamic platform that nurtured creativity and set new standards for the Indian and global fashion industries.

Shivan & Narresh Resort 2025 celebrates 15 vibrant years with a bold, artful tribute to their signature Léger Leisure print. Infused with kaleidoscopic hues and painterly patterns, the collection blends relaxed luxury with expressive design across 40 ready-to-wear looks. Menswear takes a confident lead with effortless silhouettes—coordinated sets, robes, and resort-ready separates—while womenswear stuns with bold cuts and innovative summer knits. Accessories like printed bags, resort footwear, and chic headgear complete the lineup, capturing the spirit of leisurely escapes with unmistakable flair.

RIL’S R|ELAN™ unveiled Namrata Joshipura’s Game-Changing Athleisure Collection

Joshipura, known for her bold, contemporary aesthetic, presented a collection designed for the modern woman who was always on the move. Sculpted bodysuits, statement puffer jackets, high-impact singlets, shorts, and elevated tees came together to create a wardrobe that seamlessly transitioned from workout to street style. At the heart of the collection was R|Elan Kooltex, a next-gen fabric engineered for rapid moisture wicking, ensuring breathability and temperature regulation. This textile innovation kept wearers cool, dry, and stylish, pushing the boundaries of performance-driven fashion.The collection also featured ensembles made from R|Elan Green Gold, an eco-friendly fabric crafted from 100% recycled post-consumer PET bottles, and R|Elan Super Feel, known for its ultra-soft touch and excellent drape.

S&N by Shantnu Nikhil presented a Line of Sharp Menswear

To mark five years of their contemporary prêt label, Shantnu & Nikhil unveiled Piazza Nova – a bold, stylish celebration of individuality and modern heritage. The collection featured sharply tailored menswear with striking printed shirts, wide lapels, and bold embroidery, along with a few elegant women’s pieces. Designed for the youthful, aspirational buyer, the looks championed mix-and-match versatility and personal expression. Staying true to their ethos of merging tradition with innovation, the designers presented fashion as a powerful narrative tool. The show concluded with a striking runway moment as Ibrahim Ali Khan turned heads in a sand-hued bandhgala, embodying the spirit of the collection.

EKA by Rina Singh brought a celebration of Spring Fashion

The Amer by Eka Spring/Summer 2025 collection, titled “The Rite of Spring”, featured flowing, layered ensembles inspired by the grandeur of Amer Fort. Drawing from architecture, indigenous motifs, and botanical studies, the line showcased delicate silhouettes-dresses, tunics, robes, and skirts-crafted in cotton, silk, organza, and handloom textiles. Bold stripes, checks, and intricate block prints (some using up to 80 wooden blocks) added depth, while embroidery and appliqués echoed the ornate gates and mirrored collages of the fort. The collection brought India’s textile heritage to life with modern elegance and sustainable intention.

by Lakme Salon and Satya Paul was a bold celebration of transformation, self-expression, and artistry, unveiled at Lakme Fashion Week X FDCI 2025. Inspired by modernist artists like Ellsworth Kelly and Matisse, the collection featured vibrant prints, fluid silhouettes, and statement accessories that transitioned effortlessly from day to night. Flowing kaftans, tunics, and sleek dresses embodied abstract elegance, while Lakme Salon elevated each look with precision haircuts and multi-tonal hues, reflecting modern femininity and individuality. Together, fashion and beauty fused to create a striking, sensory experience rooted in bold creativity and confidence.

Tarun Tahiliani unveils Second Season of Luxury Prêt Label ‘OTT’

OTT’s latest showcase opened with flowing drapes and layered separates, setting the stage for an elegant yet functional aesthetic. A standout moment was the live re-styling by models, revealing the collection’s remarkable versatility and adaptability. Blending Indian and Western silhouettes, the line featured draped gilets, fluid dresses, and structured jackets, all infused with a romantic, bohemian spirit. Rooted in heritage, the collection highlighted hand-embroidered chikankari and revived Rabari craftsmanship through contemporary interpretations. Designed for the multifaceted urban woman, the collection celebrated fashion as a personal journey and a form of self-expression.
