Pearl Global Industries Limited, India’s largest listed garment exporter, manufacturing from multiple sourcing regions in South Asia, South-East Asia and Central America has announced the commissioning of new manufacturing facility and expansion of sustainable laundry capacity in Bangladesh. The new manufacturing unit adds ~7 Mn pieces of annual garment capacity, at optimum utilization, taking the company’s overall installed manufacturing capacity to a total of ~108 million pieces per annum.

Mr. Pallab Banerjee, Managing Director, added, “The commissioning of the new manufacturing facility, adding~7 million pieces of capacity, further strengthens Pearl Global’s multi-country manufacturing network, offers a well-established apparel manufacturing ecosystem, supported by a skilled and cost-efficient workforce. The expansion will further enable us to leverage this ecosystem while meeting the evolving requirements of our global customers. In addition, the expansion of our in-house sustainable laundry capacity will enhance operational efficiency, reduce washing costs and water consumption, and is expected to generate a ROCE of approximately 18–20%.”
