The global textile and apparel industry is experiencing increasing pressure to enhance its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance. Emerging regulatory frameworks such as the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), and the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), along with evolving expectations of stakeholders, are significantly raising the complexity of ESG compliance for retailers, brands and manufacturers.

At the same time, many organizations face constraints related to limited internal ESG expertise, capacity challenges, and change-management capabilities. As a result, several proven ESG best practices—despite their potential to deliver operational, financial, and reputational benefits—remain insufficiently implemented across the industry.

To address these challenges, Rajesh Bheda Consulting (RBC) and Redefine Information Technologies have joined hands to support textile and apparel companies in strengthening ESG implementation, documentation, and reporting. Through this partnership, the two organizations will introduce Sattva Safe & Sustainable, an award-winning digital ESG application, to the textile and apparel ecosystem.

The MoU was signed by Ms. Maneesha Sharma, Founder Director, Rajesh Bheda Consulting and Mr. Sreenath KP, Founder Director, Redefine Information Technologies

The signing took place at RBC Office in Gurgaon in the presence of Dr. Rajesh Bheda, Managing Director, Rajesh Bheda Consulting and Ms. Maitreyee Dasgupta, Associate Director, Rajesh Bheda Consulting.

Commenting on the partnership, Ms. Maneesha Sharma, Founder Director, Rajesh Bheda Consulting, said “At Rajesh Bheda Consulting, sustainability is not viewed as a social initiative. It is integral to how we think, operate, and engage with organizations and communities. Our work is grounded in respect for the planet, its ecosystems, and the people who depend on them.

We actively promote ESG best practices that enable organizations to reduce waste, improve resource efficiency, strengthen social standards, and enhance overall business performance. Our collaboration with Redefine Information Technologies will enable organizations to systematically document, monitor, and report ESG performance in a structured, transparent, and user-friendly manner.”

Mr. Sreenath KP, Founder Director, Redefine Information Technologies, added “By combining Redefine’s digital ESG platform, SATTVA – Safe & Sustainable, with RBC’s deep industry and transformation expertise, this partnership aims to support ESG compliance, sustainability transformation, and improved transparency across textile and apparel value chains.
