ShinWon Corporation, a South Korea-based global apparel manufacturer, is accelerating its AI transformation strategy to strengthen supply chain visibility, improve operational agility, and enhance responsiveness across its global manufacturing network.
As part of the initiative, the company has established a dedicated AI team and adopted OpenAI’s ChatGPT Enterprise, while expanding the use of AI, automation technologies, and data platforms to support faster, data-driven decision-making across key operations.
As supply chain uncertainties and rapidly changing consumer preferences continue to reshape the global fashion industry, operational agility has become a key competitive advantage. Against the backdrop of supply chain restructuring, evolving trade environments, and growing demands from buyers for shorter lead times, data-driven decision-making across production, logistics, and procurement has become increasingly important.
To support broader AI adoption, ShinWon is prioritizing data infrastructure and workflow automation. “The core of AI integration lies in securing high-quality data and creating an efficient environment for its use,” said Andrew Han, Deputy Team Leader of ShinWon’s AI Team. “By streamlining global supply chain data through SAP and expanding RPA-driven automation, we are building a foundation for AI-based decision-making. This will integrate data across production, logistics, and procurement to enhance operational speed, stability, and responsiveness to global clients.”
ShinWon is also developing an AI-powered market intelligence system and trend forecasting system to better understand global market dynamics and changing consumer trends. The system will help the company incorporate market insights more quickly into product planning and production strategies. In the future, enhanced sales forecasting capabilities are expected to improve production planning, inventory management, and materials procurement, further optimizing overall supply chain operations.

The initiative is also set to transform day-to-day operations. By automating manual data management and repetitive tasks, ShinWon aims to free employees to focus on higher-value and more strategic work. In addition, the adoption of ChatGPT Enterprise will promote AI adoption across the organization and enhance collaboration and knowledge sharing among global offices, improving productivity and accelerating decision-making.
ShinWon has consistently pursued digital innovation, previously implementing RFID-based logistics management, enhancing traceability, and establishing smart factories. This AI-centered AX initiative expands upon its existing digital transformation strategy, aiming to further strengthen data-driven decision-making and maximize supply chain visibility and agility.
“In the global fashion industry, securing supply chain visibility and operational agility has surpassed cost competitiveness as the key differentiator,” said JJ Park, CEO of ShinWon. “Through this AX initiative, we will integrate AI and data to organically connect our global operations, cultivate a data-driven decision-making culture, and ultimately evolve into an ‘Intelligent Enterprise’ that responds swiftly to market changes and delivers more reliable services to our customers.”
