Global cotton trade in 2019-20 is forecast at 44.2 mn bales, 7.5 per cent above 2018-19, according to the US department of agriculture (USDA). As global cotton production is projected to exceed mill use once again, world ending stocks are forecast at 80.4 mn bales in 2019-20, a 1.2-mn-bale increase over stocks at the end of 2018-19 season.
