The largest textile manufacturer in India, Arvind Ltd., would invest over Rs. 100 crore in Uttar Pradesh (UP) and build a clothing plant in Varanasi. The effort is anticipated to directly employ 2000 women. This is the Ahmedabad-based company’s first manufacturing operation in Uttar Pradesh.
Punit Lalbhai, VC & ED and Kulin Lalbhai, ED of the company also had a courtesy meeting with UP CM Yogi Adityanath. They apprised the CM about this upcoming garmenting unit.
This project was finalised in the beginning of the year during the UP roadshow in Ahmedabad in which Ministers and Senior Officials of the UP had discussion with the company’s representatives.
With revenues of Rs. 8,382 cr, Arvind Limited is into textile as well as advance materials business.
